About Francesca Schomberg
Francesca Schomberg-Solano began her formal art training at age 15 when she was awarded a 3-year scholarship to study at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts in Massachusetts. She graduated from State Teachers College at Boston in 1960 earning a B.S. degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Art. Francesca spent 17 years in New York City trying her hand in the theatre arts while taking classes in various art media at local colleges, universities, and the Art Students League. She was awarded 1st Prize in Photography in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, for 'Remembering Rose', and Honorable Mention for Printmaking at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC for 'Cubicle'. Francesca began a teaching career at schools in Manhattan, the Bronx, and Queens...
